Cantor Ed Berkovits, Halifax
Cantor Mo Glazman, New York City
Cantor Tibor Kovari, Toronto
We are pleased you have joined us for an evening of Jewish and secular music performed by three gifted cantors.
Cantor Mo Glazman grew up in Halifax. He studied cantorial liturgy in larger centers and is now senior cantor at Central Synagogue, Lexington Avenue, New York City.
Cantor Ed Berkovits returned to Halifax after many years away. He has brought his unique and uplifting cantorial work back to the Beth Israel Synagogue.
Cantor Tibor Kovari came to Beth Israel Synagogue in 2000 as a cantor-teacher but his talents were swiftly scooped up by Beth Tikvah Synagogue in Toronto where he has been senior cantor for the last 12 years.
Have a wonderful evening. We hope you will leave tonight with a smile on your face, a song in your heart and a greater appreciation for Jewish music. Thank you for celebrating with us.
